Lately, Danny and I have been taking pretty intense walks every night. We have been walking about 2 or 3 miles, alternating between sidewalks and the bike path. It’s been pretty wonderful.
Here’s a glimpse of a scene that we encountered last night.
As you can see, the bike path is pretty wild over here in Jamestown. But, the sunsets are pretty, and it is really peaceful. We stumbled upon four deer yesterday, and I might have been terrified when I saw several turkey buzzards in a tree. I have a fear of birds, have I ever shared that before? I don’t like their claws, and I don’t like that they have shifty eyes.
We also saw a shifty group of youths crawl out from underneath a bridge. And, of course, since Liz Lemon (aka Tina Fey) is my spirit animal, I hustled aside and cried, “Youths!”
I am so thankful that the weather is warm and that we are able to go outside again. I can’t wait for summer to come so that I can finally relax and really enjoy our walks. I hope this tradition lasts for a long time!
