Tonight, Danny and I went to the first live simulcast broadcast of NPR’s news quiz, “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me.” They filmed it in New York, but it was shown in theaters across the U.S. It was Danny’s dream night. He wore his NPR shirt, got some buttons and a bumper sticker, and got to hear other NPR nerds laugh at the same jokes that he was laughing about.
He wouldn’t pose for a picture with any stars of our local NPR station, but I did snap this picture during the preview time. Don’t worry, the show had not started, this was just the banner on the screen when we came in.
We saw so many great things. An interview with Steve Martin, a lady jazz singer, and an older lady dancing to the aforementioned jazz singer. It was a great night.
Now, if I could only get Danny to play a quick game of soccer then paint a painting with me, I could finally get my perfect night!
