In our quest to make our house a home, we decided to make a good use of space and create an inspiration board for Danny. We hung it on the inside of his closet, just to save space, and hopefully, put a smile on his face while he is dressing for school in the morning! I’m glad that we have a space to put all of the Valentines and notes that I made for Danny.
Today, we attempted to drive to my parents’ house to pick up my car. The moment we got into the car, it started blizzard-ing. Instead of turning around, we braved the treacherous roads, and truthfully, it was the scariest drive of my life. At one point, we had to stop on the side of the road and wait for the white out to subside. I may or may not have cried. I blame all of the safe driver classes I have had to take throughout my life.
When I first started driving, my dad made a point to tell me that a car was not a toy—it is a 3,000 pound weapon. At the time, it made me laugh, but these days, it’s hard not to feel that way when I am in the car. I think I am developing a car phobia—how should I get over it? Do donuts in a parking lot? Start drag racing?
I guess I will decide tomorrow.
