I have a secret. Ok, it’s not really a secret—I just don’t see a lot of people to tell them my exciting news!
I have a full-time job! After two years of searching, crying, and trying to figure out what I wanted to do, I finally have a full-time job! I am going to be an English teacher—finally! If you had asked me three years ago about being a teacher, I would have laughed in your face. But, it just makes sense now, and I am so excited!
In other news, for my summer job, I had to watch a snake eat a mouse. It was scary, fascinating, and freaky. It was so weird to see the snake just unhinge its jaw and go to town on the mouse. I think I got the most grossed out when the feet started disappearing inside of the snake.
Don’t you think it is uncomfortable to watch people eat? I always think that people (and animals) look ridiculous when eating. It’s just so weird to see people stuffing forkfuls or spoonfuls of food into their mouths. And, don’t get me started on chewing—that is a pretty gross endeavor in and of itself. It always astounds me that as a culture, we love to meet and chat over meals. That is the worst time to talk—I always end up asking a question when someone is just about to put a bite of food into her mouth, or I end up talking and drop food all over my person. I think I am going to start eating solitary meals—that would just save me from all of the meal-time awkwardness.
Ok, I am starting to fade, and I think this post is starting to sound like gibberish. I think it’s time for bed.
